• Blair Waldolf

Blair is played by Leighton Meester, an American actress born April 9^th, 1986.  She has appeared in films such as Date Night, Hangman’s Curse and Going The Distance.  In April 2009 she always signed a record deal with Universal Records and has released two singles; Somebody to Love and Your Love Is A Drug.  Leighton can be followed on twitter at itsmeleighton.

• Serena van der Woodsen

Blake Lively, an American actress born August 25^th, 1987, plays Serena.  She shot to fame after playing Bridget in the film adaption of Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, but she also appears in Accepted, and Ben Affleck’s new film, The Town.  Blake has a brother, Eric, two half-sisters, Lori and Robyn and a half-brother, Jason.  She has been dating her co-star, Penn Badgley, since 2007.

• Nate Archibald

Chace Crawford, born July 18 1985, plays Nate Archibald on Gossip Girl.  Chace played a role in the film The Covenant and dated Carrie Underwood in 2008.  He grew up in Texas, and has a younger sister, Candice.  In June 2010, Chace was caught carrying marijuana and if convicted, he could face up to 6 months in jail.

• Dan Humphrey

Dan is played by Penn Badgley, born November 1, 1986, but has also appeared in films such as John Tucker Must Die and Easy A.  He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but moved to Hollywood when he was 11 to pursue an acting career.  During this time he always recorded a pop single.  He has been dating Blake Lively since 2007.

• Chuck Bass

Ed Westwick, born 27^th June 1987, is an English actor and musician best known for playing Chuck Bass.  He was apart of the band The Filthy Youth and until April 2010, was dating his co-star Jessica Szohr.

• Jenny Humphrey

Taylor Momsen, born 26^th 1993, plays Jenny on Gossip Girl, but has also appeared in the film How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Spy Kids Two.  She’s also in the band, The Pretty Reckless, which has led to her appearing less often in Gossip Girl.  You can follow Taylor on twitter at taylormomsen.

• Vanessa Abrams

Vanessa is played by Jessica Szohr, born 31^st March 1985, who has also appeared in the films Fired Up and Piranha 3D.   Szohr is one part African-American and one part Hungarian and she was born in Wisconsin, but moved to Los Angeles when she was 17 to pursue an acting career.
