More Details About Season Three

Season three of what you ask?  Season Three of The Vampire Diaries, of course!  What other season threes are almost out at the moment that we’ve been going crazy for?  None.  Exactly.

Now, before you get your panties in a twist,  I read the entire interview (yes, I am a good webgirl like that, doing all the tough jobs…) that I’ve linked below and there are NO SPOILERS.  Just lots of sexy Damon time…ahem, sorry, Ian Somerhalder, time.

Happy now aren’t you?

So Ian Somerhalder sat down with Christina Radish for and got into the nitty, gritty including how he’s going to cope now that his brother is the crazy, bloodthirsty one (but don’t worry Damon, you’ll still always be the badarse one), THAT kiss with Elena and whether or not he will remain as evil as he has in the previous seasons.

My favourite bit from the interview though.  Whether or not Bonnie and Damon will get together?  Whhhaaaa…?!?!  I know.  My response exactly.  Ian’s response?

Bonnie is hot! Sleeping with a witch would probably be pretty interesting. I hear that, and I understand that. Damon and Bonnie really are, in ways, cut from very similar cloth. Damon and Bonnie have a really cool dynamic. They’re pretty funny together. I remember shooting that scene where they’re dancing together, and I remember saying, “Wow, that really works!” I know that happens in the books. It’s that thing where you hate someone and then you fall for them. But, Damon is so wrapped up in Elena. Could you imagine Jeremy coming after Damon being like, “Stay away from my girlfriend!,” and banging on his chest, and Damon sitting there going, “Really? We hooked up once kid. It was fun. Leave me alone.” But, who knows?

If you want to read the rest of the interview, which includes a disturbing mental image of Damon ripping off a head while handing you a kitten (or something like that), check out the link below and let me know your thoughts, as always!

The Vampire Diaries: Season Three

Before you get too excited, cool yourself.  Sadly, season three of The Vampire Diaries doesn’t begin until September.  I know, it IS outrageous.  First off I have to wait until September for Dexter to grace my screen and now I have to spend the lonely winter months without my weekly dose of vampires?  Yes.  I know.  Life is tough, isn’t it?

HOWEVER, I didn’t put this post up just to rub it in everyone’s faces that Damon’s on a holiday (Transylvania perhaps? hahaha), I DO actually have news.  And not just, hey look hot photo news, but REAL news.

So even though VD isn’t back for three months rumours about the plot have already started spreading on what we know as the world wide web.  So I thought, hey, my fellow VD lovers would like to know.  Yes?  Yes.  And before you get too worried, I make sure never to read any juicy spoilers, that you know, actually spoil the show.  So you’re free to read on ahead.

So what’s planned for season three?  First off, the Original vampires are still around.  We find out more about their past, what they’ve been up to for the past, oh thousand years or so, and MOST IMPORTANTLY why Klaus wants Stefan “on the dark side.”  Stefan, for his part…is pretty much just going around gnawing around on people (or something like that).  Caroline and Tyler grow closer and closer (FINALLY!  If she wasn’t immortal and he wasn’t a werewolf…just imagine their babies…), but then their families go all Romeo and Juliet on their arses and start feuding.

Jeremy is still being pestered by those ghosts (“I see dead people”), who are trying to tell him something important (duh), but to the extent that it’s screwing up his and Bonnie relationship.  Perhaps Bonnie likes being the more supernatural of the two?

And now for what we’re ALL been waiting for…Damon and Elena, also known as Delena.  Delena become closer and closer as they try to bring Stefan “from the edge”, but they feel guilty about it (as in, ELENA feels guilty about it…)

So what do you think about the potential plots?  What would you like to see happen in season three?

The Vampire Diaries: The Last Dance

The title of this week’s Vampire Diaries kinda makes you go awww, doesn’t it?  Stefan (or even better, Damon!) and Elena get to share a happy moment dancing at the school’s decade dance.  How lovely.  And then you remember, this is The Vampire Diaries.  The shit is always perpetually hitting the fan.  And this week was no exception.

For those who need a quick recap, basically Klaus is in town.  But not the actual Klaus.  Nooo siree, that would be too straight-forward.  Instead, he is controlling (somehow, don’t ask me how) Alaric to do all his biding.  Yah.  Not good.

For a full, hilarious recap (it even comes with its own catchy nickname…no joke, it’s going to go viral) check out Kim’s post HERE and then hop straight back on here so we can talk about all the juicy fun stuff.  So basically how hot Damon is…

Ok, you’re back.  Either that or you didn’t leave, did you?  Naughty.  But that’s alright.  You’ve seen the episode so I’m sure you can still contribute.

First things first, how sexy is the new version of Alaric/Klaus?  Sure he’s still got the same dorky wardrobe (nothing vintage here) and he’s still Mystic Falls history teacher…but now he’s doing evil.  And he’s doing it well.  Basically, he’s strutting around, dancing around, doing random monologues before he kills something…the usual baddie sort of stuff.

But then he met Bonnie.

And now Bonnie has had her moments in the past where we’ve all gone, Oh Bonnie!  and let’s be honest, who thought this was going to be another moment to add to that list?  Anyone?  Don’t lie, I know you thought it.  But she proved us wrong.  She gave Alaric/Klaus (this is going to get old) a good beating around (the old leg-break), bled from the nose for a bit…and then died.

But not really.  I know.  I was fooled too.  I hadn’t started crying but there was a large part of me going WHAT?!  But alas, Bonnie had Damon who hasn’t really changed when it comes to sneaky plots.  So.  Bonnie’s alive.  Alaric/Klaus doesn’t know this though.  But she could still (probably will) die if she unleashes all that magic. Hmm…

Alas, that’s where Elena came in.  Elena, after she did smouldering eyes with Damon (why wasn’t he topless in this scene I ask?) decided to do things her own way.  Clearly she’s never seen Twilight and doesn’t know that it never works out when the human tries to play hero.  So Elena goes down to the basement where a sorta-but-not-really-dead Elijah is slowly decomposing.  And then pulls out the dagger that’s keeping him dead.  Which is all well and good since she can use it on Klaus (actual Klaus, not pretend Alaric/Klaus Klaus)…except then Elijah won’t be dead.

And from my many forays into vampire worlds I’ve learnt one thing…vampires don’t like it when you try (no matter how successful you are) to kill them.  Things are going to get interesting!

What do you think?  Do you think that Klaus will continue to use Alaric’s body?  What will he do with it once he’s moved on?  Do you think that Elijah is going to be pissed with Elena or will he be hellbent on getting Klaus?  And what did Klaus do to him in the first place anyway?

It’s not much longer to the season finale (sob sob) so we’re definitely going to get some results in the next episode…but then Vampire Diaries love good cliffhangers so maybe not…

Vampire Diaries: Know Thy Enemy

Hooray!  It’s back.  We can all breathe a sigh of relief that our beautiful Damon Salvatore is back on the screen.  That’s right, Vampire Diaries is back on tv and it’s back with a vengeance.

Last night’s episode, aptly named Know Thy Enemy, kicked off right where things ended (which was, oh so cruelly, a long six weeks ago).  First things first, Elena and the Salvatore brothers didn’t know thy enemy, they were properly duped.  Damn that Katherine.

For a full recount I’d suggest checking out Kimthefangirl’s blog (she’s much more thorough and entertaining than I am when it comes to recapping) right HERE

Alright?  Read that.  Good.  Now we can get to the dissecting parts.

First off.  Klaus.  Alaric.  Klaus.  Alaric.  Klaus IS Alaric.  Wait…what?  Yes you read that right.  Those sneaky writers over at CW managed to drop a bomb on us right in the dying seconds.  Using some witchy magic and some borrowed blood, Alaric is now Klaus.  Sorta.  Well.  I’m not sure to be honest.  He’s being controlled by him, who in turn is now controlling Katherine.

Ah yes…Katherine.  She definitely screwed up this episode.  She thought she’d be sneaky and side with Isobel (Elena’s vampire mum) instead of the Salvatore brothers (those goodness knows why, considering they’re so hot! Oh and good. That’s right…), yet in turn Isobel was being controlled by Klaus and turned Katherine in.  Yep, that was a screw up.  If that wasn’t confusing enough for you, she DIDN’T hand in Elena, who was conveniently at her disposal, but instead yanked off her protective necklace and burnt to a crisp in the sun.

But she did it on her grave, so at least she was poetic.  Gotta give her points for that.

Other news?  Matt and Caroline.  For those who need a bit of a refresher, Matt found out last episode that Caroline is a vampire. Eek!  Double Eek when you remember that Matt’s sister Vicky was killed by a vampire…

For those who thought that maybe things would cool off over time, well…we were wrong.  Instead, Matt convinces Caroline to tell him everything she knows and then gets her to wipe his memory.  Except she didn’t.  Because he was on vervain.  And whose idea was this?  Sheriff Forbes.  As in Caroline’s mum.  As in hater and destroyer of all things vampire.  And now she knows that Caroline is a vampire.

But don’t feel disheartened by everything that’s happened.  One bonus is that Bonnie is Damon and Stefan’s “secret weapon” since she’s harnessed all the dead witches’ powers.  Oh wait…supposedly if she uses all those powers when she kills Klaus she’ll die.  Damn…

Seriously though.  One happy note.  Elena signed the deed to the Salvatore brothers home and now she’s gonna be sleeping over…EVERY NIGHT.  Let’s just consider that for a moment.  Damon…Stefan…Elena, all in the one house.  Alone. Hmm…

Thoughts?  What did you think of last night’s show?  Up to par?  How do you think they’ll deal with the whole Alaric/Klaus situation?  Do you think that something interesting will develop between Damon and Elena now that she’ll be bunking at their house?  Let me know!

There’s Magic In The Air

For those who have seen the latest Vampire Diaries episode (and if you haven’t, seriously get on it already) we saw there were a couple of tragedies.  Manly-witchy tragedies.  While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing considering they were overall a big pain in our arses, and Bonnie did get her powers back, it does have one small problem.

Bonnie is all alone in her witchy ways.  While this wasn’t a problem beforehand, it is now.  Poor Bonnie is expected to shoulder the burden of finding a way to harness all those dead witches’ powers and come up with a spell to destroy Klaus.  If there were ever a time to go EEK I think this would be it.

Well, those sneaky producers over at CW are ahead of us, as per always.  They have already announced there will be a casting call for a character called Greta, and they are looking for 20 year old African-American gals for the role.

Innnneerrressting.  For those not in the know, Greta, the daughter of Doc Martin, is currently being held hostage by Klaus.

So will this work towards or against Bonnie?  She would obviously want Klaus killed (who doesn’t?!) but then again, Bonnie was part of the crew that killed her brother and dad.  Hmm….

Thoughts?  How do you think this will play out?  And can you think of any actresses for the role?

Kat Graham’s Take On Garbage

Kat Graham, who plays Bonnie in The Vampire Diaries, has launched her singing career with a cover of Garbage’s 90s hit “I’m Only Happy When It Rains” which will feature on Monday night’s episode of the show.

While she has a great voice, the cover isn’t very original and still sounds like Garbage (tehehe, ignore the pun) and I wonder if it has had any special effects added to make it sound better.

But then I might just be a tad judgmental; I’ve never been a fan of actors who suddenly realise they have wanted to sing all along…

Check it out below.
